Problem with Windows 98SE Shutdown

I just put together a computer (with some used components including a used BH6 1.1 motherboard) and everything works fine except when I try to shutdown the computer (using the Normal Start button then select shutdown from the menu) the computer reboots the same as if I had selected the restart option. Is there a setting in Windows 98SE to change this or in the ABIT softmenu? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Try enabling ACPI in your BIOS. (I think ACPI is what it is called.)
