Problem with Win2k and Half-Life?

Yup, I can't seem to get the 2 working together.
I just did a bone fresh install of win2k, and can't seem to get HL working either.
I just typed in my cdkey, then it tells me that HL.exe has caused an error, and windows will shut it down and that I should restart it.

No matter how many times I restart it, it won't work.

Everything else seems to be running rock solid stable.

Any idea's guys?

I have:
BP6 with latest BIOS
dual 366's @ 400 only
asus tnt-2 pro
intel pro100+
cheap software modem
SB 64 ISA
Quantum AS HD
Asus 50x cdrom

what version drivers are you using? Try using nvidia's refrence drivers and try to use detonator 2 drivers such as beta version 5.32. You can go to a website like www.reactorcritical.com to get the drivers.

Look for Nvidia Windows 2000 drivers, version 5.32.

Plus, make sure you download the patch for half life too.

Forgot to try the driver thing!

Funny thing is that HL worked fine BEFORE the Bios flash/reinstallation of Win2k....

Just got it working!
Only installed the latest HL patch + CS patch, and it works great!
