Problem With Win XP

I installed win xp rescently, but it gives me an error at startup about there is no paging file and that it created a temporary one. I went to control pannel and ajusted the virtual memory but dosen't allow me to change. It doesn't solve the problem. What can I do to solve this problem? (I upgraded from Win 2000 professional to Win XP)

move this to the operating systems forum. You might be able to edit the registry to make your page file size, because registry edits don't become effective until you restart windows.
