Problem with W2K networking....

I recently built a second computer for my home, and it is currently running W2K for email/browsing for my mom. It is also running IIS in the background serving webpages for my website. Now I would like to be able to add/delete/edit these files from my WinME box without having to FTP into the other box. But no matter what I try I cant connect to the W2K box in Network Neighborhood, it comes up with a password dialog box that won't accept the passwords that I said it should accept on the W2K box. What am I doing wrong here?

Sympathize. I'm having the same problem, or would if I could get back to where I was, but that's another story.

Received AT wisdom: do you have a user identified on the w2k box with the same name as the computer that is trying to access it? That is, if the winme box has a name of 'my winme box' then the w2k box must have a user called 'my winme box' with either poweruser or admin rights. Oh, yeah - the workgroup names have to be identical, too.

<Sigh> at least my internet connection and mail work from my three boxes. Now, if I could only get them to f*****g communicate!
