I just installed this card today, and the performace is great. It was replacing a Voodoo 3 3000 pci. My problem is with the monitor though. Ever since I replaced the voodoo with this, the monitor seems to *flicker* and sort of dance. It hurts my eyes is all I can say really. Anyway, I have the newest drivers 23.11, so I don't know. Also, ever since I installed this, it won't identify my monitor which is a 17" KDS Visual Sensations. All it can get is "defualt monitor" never had this prob before. I took the precautions to removing the monitor driver before in the registry, but I just don't know. The card is great, but so far it has given me after affects, probably due to me none other lol ^_^. Could it be my monitor refresh rate? It only lets me set it to Optimal or Adapter Defualt since it can't pick up my monitor. Please, help would be greatly oblighed. Thanks.

default is 60hz.. and, if the computer cant detect your monitor, will also be 60HZ----that nasty, flickering, eye-hurting refresh rate.

uninstall the monitor from the device manager, reboot, and see if it'll detect it then, or i suggest using a generic svga 1024x768 from the add hardware list... it should allow you to set the refresh to 75 or 85... both of which your eye will thank you for =)

Hmm, thanks for the reply, unfortunately I have tried all your suggestions. Ugh. Like I said above, I even went into the registry and removed those darn files. I don't understand. The monitor should just pick up the driver. IT did when I had to reinstall my Voodoo. Please, more help is appreciated.

Well, I went to the KDS website, and they had the driver, so I downloaded to see if that would work. Well, it did what I wanted it to and now I have the refresh at at 75 and it is a lot nicer, but I still don't understand why it couldn't pick up the right driver by itself. It always did this. Now, after installing my new card, a lot of weird things have been happening. This, and then when I run quicktime movies they are way too dark? I've messed with the color and everything to no avail. Jeez, don't know what's happening.

Go into your bios and change your aperture size to 64MB. You should be fine after that.

The aperature size is currently at 64 mb. Would a motherboard bios update do anything. I don't think it has any newer AGp patches. It's a Msi K7t266 Pro/r. Well, thanks, keep um comin please.

Would AGP speed possibly have anything to do with it? I had it at 4x and currently am trying 2x? I also put the aperature at 128. Hopefully something will work out. Thanks.
