Problem with the new banner in the forums.

The old banner was a hyperlink back to www.anandtech.com. It's very annoying that there is no longer a link back to the main page. Please correct this.

Looks nice and sleek, but having all the tabs and such was very helpful as well!

A link back to the homepage is a must though.

Forums without a link back to the main website are not good IMO.
What happens when we want to give advice and we find it comparatively a lot harder to get to the main site?

Yeah... I always visit "My Forums" first to see if I have any private messages, THEN go to the AT home page to see what's new.

I love the sidebar, etc., that people apparently hate (pls. don't take it away ).

But i do miss the link back to the homepage.

Maybe you could leave that banner there & add a second one that has a link to the homepage?

If the sidebar can be made a personal preference, it may satisfy both sides.

I appreciate it and would hate to loose it.

The sidebar, isn't part of this issue, it's the top bar that changed.

IMHO, people tend to complain about changes and then complain when it's changed back.

BTW, do you have a pic of the old style with tabs? Since I run notfred's script, I don't remember what it looked like.

I don't care about the tabs, but I want the easy link back to the main page back, now it's a PITA to go to the main site, when it used to be only a click away whenever I wanted to look up something or check the tech news.

Yeah, seriously, why do we need the top banner to link back to the forums AS WELL AS having the side bar?
Surely the side bar is enough? Or just the thing at the top of a page view? We have 2 options already, the banner should link to the main site.
I know another forum which has the same thing, a banner at the top which links to the forum and not the main site, and :thumbsdown:

What everyone is saying that you're not paying attention to, is that you have cut off the forums from the news. Once you leave the real HOME page, you left us no link to the Top, without going back to our bookmark. That's silly!
