Problem with the mail-in-rebate for Macfee software from staples

I have ordered two kinds of Macfee software and am supposed to receive two kinds of mail-in-rebates. But on the box, I can only find the upgrade mail in rebate, another $20 mail in rebate is missing. Is there anyone knows how to deal with this.

To all:

I had the exact same problem. You have the 20 upgrader rebates on the box. The other rebates are the Star Trek Nemesis promos. Staples does not even have the forms, they should not have advertised the rebates that way. Anyhow heres a link . They will accept print outs of the form...or if you have a CompUSA around, they have the actual forms on the rebate wall.

Another thing......the rebate form does not have an actual address to mail the rebate. The California address listed on the rebate form is only for sweepstakes entries. So I called Mcafee and they said to place both items for each product in the same envelope to mail. Read the forms, they also say that. And mail them to the Chicago address listed on the upgrade form. Also be sure to mark if you want the movie tickets or the cash, if you do not mark it they will send movie tickets.

Since I just mailed both of mine, I am keeping my fingers crossed....Good Luck

Hi,

Staples gave me a $20 credit. Details below.

I've been talking to various people at Staples for over a week on this problem. They all search for the product and don't find any mention of the rebates we are talking about. Then they search their rebate site and don't see it there either. When I insist that the rebate I am talking about is at their website, none would even bother to go to that page to check it out. I even chatted with their online customer service guys on this. Their rebate people said they will mail the rebate form, without quite understanding which of the 2 forms are missing (I suspect they are mailing the upgrade form; I haven't received it yet).

I waited for 5 days and when the form had still not shown up in my mail, I called Staples again today. The first lady transferred me to their rebate service, inspite of my request to not do so. I called again and told the next CSR that I don't want to be transferred to anyone until I ask to be transferred, that I have a problem with a rebate and that she is about the 30th person I am talking to at Staples about it. I told her I am very upset and have spent hours on the phone as a result of Staples' fault.

She listened to my story, looked at my order, went to the web page with the 2 rebates, searched for them, couldn't find them and finally offered to give me credit for the $20.
