problem with the game FlatOut

i just purchased this game, and installed it. i opened the program, and the little credits come up at the beginning, and a movie comes up, and i just skip through them with the enter key. then it gets to the screen where it says Flatout, and has all the legal stuff, but nothing happens. the main menu wont load, and when i press enter or, escape, the program just closes. what can i do? do i have to return the game?

well you got further than me

i put the disc in my machine at the drive just starts spinning up then slowing down, spinning up then slowing down..........this continues till i shout god dammit! and eject the disc

i then tried to combine both discs on to one dvd.......but it installs like theres a little school boy in there physically writing the data out with a pencil

so i had to copy disc one to the hardrive, then copy the important part of disc 2 into the same folder that was in disc one......then install the game which finally works! it reeks of a complete hash job.

have you tried re-installing?

whats your system like?

i havent tried reinstalling. my rig is in sig. thats weird that you have the same problem. i think ill try googling some stuff to see if more people are having the problem.

ok, i fixed it. i just downloaded a no-cd crack. works great. such a fun game!

damn, so, i was playing, and randomly, the game just froze. i pressed ctrl alt del, and closed the game. now, whenever i try to open it, i get an error that says: "Cannot Open Display Mode"

wtf.
