problem with the asus a7v266-e?

it takes it 5 seconds to start up to see a boot-screen?

Depends... you using IDE/RAID? If you're using IDE and have RAID disabled, it still looks for a RAID array before proceeding. Same thing with the KR7A.

Well Kr7a-raid has no such problem .. . .! ! !
Sometimes if you enable some startup tests that the bios does it makes it slow...

I just disable the Raid controller and each time I have problem to see the Memory -CPu test screen.
It makes it so fast that the first thing that I see is the boot screen of win4k the black one that loads the os.
