Problem With Sound

i've noticed that theres some sort of problem with my sound lately, whenever i push the pause button it doesn't immediately cut off the music it echos for about a second. its most noticeable when i push pause but also echos constantly through the whole song. i've tried various speakers and it happens iwth all of them. any ideas on how i could fix it?
