problem with sound

sometimes when i play games, listen to music my sound automatically mutes iteslf. is there anyway i can fix it. and the only way to get sound back is if i reinstall sound drivers.

you might have conflicting drivers... did you look in the device manager?

k just did, but the only yello question mark i get is the usb drivers.

Install SP2 for XP if you haven't already, that will clear up the USB problem anyways. You may have to manually update the USB drivers after the update.

already have SP2 installed, but so far nothings happend with my sound since i reinstalled the drivers.
