problem with sound in flash animations

hello all, hope someone can help me
when I try toi play flash animations through either I.E or Firefox the animation is ok in the flash files, i can see that fine but there is no sound
examples of the files i'm trying to play.... h##p://www.ebaumsworld.com/cartoons.shtml

I am using an ABIT NF7-s (nforce2) m/b and using the onboard sound, all the latest drivers from the nvidia site, sound used to work fine and I really dont knwo what I have installed/uninstalled/changed for this to happen
