Problem with sound in Colin McRae Rally 04

Hi,

When I play CMR04, all I can hear is co-driver voice. I get no engine sound, no gearbox sound, no crash sounds. IN the Options, I have noticed that EAX 4.0 is disabled and there's not even an option to turn it on.

I have Turtle Beach Santa Cruz soundcard with drivers that support DirectX9 sound, which is a requirement for this game. Is there any way I can get this game to work on my soundcard?

I also have onboard 5.1 sound. My motherboard is Asus K8V Basic. I don't wanna uninstall TBSC unless I know the onboard sound is a better solution for this.

I don't think the TBSC supports EAX 4.0. Are you sure the other sounds are enabled? Latest drivers? Latest patch?
 
I've got the latest sound card drivers and there's no new patch for the game. 🙁

In the Sound Options I've got my "Sound Effects" turned all the way up and nothing.
I guess it's time to see what Codemasters have to say.

Any other ideas?
