Problem with SMC7004ABR router

Hi,

I am using the SMC7004ABR router for my cable and home network. I have problems sending files to people through AIM even with the updated firmware. The demilitarized zone which supposedly turn off the firewall doesn't seem to do anything. I am running Winxp and am sure that the software firewall is off too. Any suggestions?

Might want to try port forwarding.

Just figure out which ports AOL uses. I believe practicallynetworked.com might have a list of commonly used ports

Here's what it says for AIM:

AIM Talk
OUT TCP 4099
IN TCP 5190

So in the Special App setup page in my router, I would set the trigger port as 4099 and pick any available public port, then do the same for 5190?
