Problem with Skype ....."Account unknown"

Hi.

A friend has Windows Vista and has a problem with Skype.

He says he can not open windows explorer nor change Skype settings.

He went on the Skype site and read Skype has not figured this out.

He also had a PC guy check it out and he could not fix it.

Any suggestions ??

Too little info. What kind of error is he getting with Windows Explorer? When he clicks it, does nothing happen? Does it open a blank page? A PC guy couldn't fix Windows Explorer not opening? Did he try resetting everything? System Restore? Format?

And on to Skype. Are the options greyed out or does he click on the changes and they just don't take effect?
