Problem with shutting down

Very weird problem, don't know if it is XP or mobo. Now when I turn off the computer, it will shut down all the way, but then anutomatically start. What I've been doing lately is to reach to the back of the case to switch off the power. It is troublesome and I'd like to fix this problem. Thanks for any advice.

Is this a new problem? Did you recently added new hardware or software? Use system restore to revert to an older windows configuration.

It's been on and off for some time. I could flash the BIOS and most likely fix the problem, but next time the XP crashes the problem comes back.
