windows xp professional
800X600 resolution, 32bit true color in 85hz refresh rate

the problem:
when i restart my pc the boot up screen shakes a lot, but after that if i boot my pc again the boot up screen appears normally.

the bios, vga bios, vga driver, via 4 in 1 driver all updated to its latest.

the bios is set to default and the fsb is at 133mhz. i have changed the primary display driver from pci to agp. but nothing seems to be changed.

whats the problem? please help.

Don't want to sound like I'm belittling you but does your monitor make a funny sound when you first turn it on? It could just be the monitor degaussing itself automatically when you first turn it on.

Does it do it everytime you boot or is it just when you turn off your monitor and then turn it on again.
How long in seconds does it shake?

That can happen. I don't think its a problem. Mine shakes for a second or two. There's like a jaggedy line through the middle and then the display is over on the right too far, and then it centers itself and everything works good.

what's your monitor? at work on a 815/p3/vanta with a ctx 19" FD trinitron it does the same thing all the way to the desktop.. it's not really shaking.. more like the edges are 'swiming'.. dunno how to explain it better :)

oh.. your monitor is right there.. sorry :)

if it only does that upon restarting, why does it bug you so much?
