problem with SB Live! Platinum

Do you mean a BSOD (Blue screen of death)?

Uninstall the card and download the very latest LiveWare drivers from creative's site and install the card using these drivers. Good luck...

unfortunately its not a blue screen of death this happens in dos inbetween the win98 screen.

Does this stop Windows booting then? Or will it boot but without sound? What happens?

It boots but it seems to be a bit unstable not to mention annoying... i have sound too

hmmn, not quite sure what the problem is. Try emailing creative tech support or looking at some FAQ's perahps? Good luck.

first, u should completely uninstall it to try to get rid of that message

then reboot and install it again and see if the message reappears
