Problem With Rebate

Ok, heres the deal.. i got a rebate from SONY yesterday, but the problem is my name was misspelled on the check. What should i do?
 
most banks wont care, i know my doesnt. i had a PNY rebate come back with a horrible misspelling, but i still got my $7!!
 
the bank wont notice.. i once signed a check "mickey mouse' to see if the bank would catch it. THey didnt.
 
Just go ahead and deposit the check to your account. The bank won't care. I've had my parents depost checks in my name to their account before and that worked OK too. When I asked my lawyer if this was OK he said that it's always OK to do this unless someone complains, and in your case nobody will be complaining either.
