Yesterday I got a CD-RW drive from Polaroid's (Disk Fusion) RMA Dept. The original one created too many freesbies.
I am STILL having problems.
This new drive appears to be from a different OEM / different model. However, the first Audio CD I tried to burn (from MP3s on my HD) became a freesbie (Nero quit burning the second I closed Solitaire, with no other apps running).
The second Audio CD was successful, but it makes clicking noises in some audio CD players/changers, badly skips in others (like those old LP's), but works OK in some others.
I tried three different types of CD-R disks (TDK, Fuji and Philips).
What the h*ll am I doing wrong?
My setup:
IDE 0 : HD (master) -> HD (slave, Linux, not visible to Windows)
IDE 1 : CD-RW (master) -> DVD-ROM (slave)
