it seems i can't disable CPU fan monitoring in BIOS, and whenever i reboot my computer, it pops up with a message to check my power monitoring during the bootup.
in power monitoring section of BIOS, i don't see any error messages, but this is where the cpu fan speed is monitored, so that's my closest guess. anybody know how to turn it off?
(okay if you still have questions, the panaflo L1A had 2 pins so i had to "mod" the connector to fit into the 3-pin mobo connector-use a flathead screw and chop part of the connector off)
also, L1A + Alpha 8942 wasn't as effective as I thought. In my setup (Coolermaster ATC-201, Enermax dual fan PSU), load temps for my 2.0ghz @ 2.7ghz was around 47C. With my L1A/Alpha PAL combo, I ran CPU Burn-In for 10 min., and I was levelling at about 51-52C. Idle temps for both were around 35C, 36C usually. Any suggestions on a slightly better fan? I don't want anything much louder, but I'd like to see if I can push my CPU a bit more. I maxed at around 142fsb with stock cooling.
