problem with nvidia 8800gts

I recenlty move and while reinstalling my computer the monitor went blank. since then i only have analog signal to monitor.my two digital outputs from my graphics card give me blank screen. ive reinstalled. updated drivers changed cords several different times. device manager says its working properly. i dont have another monitor to see if its the monitors dvi plug or my card. any advice????

Probably a stupid question but did you check the power connection? I can't remember if the 8800GTS 320 or 640 needs an external PCIe plug but the 800GTS 512 does and if thats not plugged in, or is loose, it can cause issues.

Thats all I have to offer, hopefully someone else can help.

yes ive checked all power supplies both inside and out. everyday for a week ive been going through everything i can think of step by step.

Yes, borrow one. You must know someone that you can just borrow a monitor from. It sounds like something has broken, so you need to try everything. You could take your PC or monitor to someone's house to test.

thats what im going to do tomorrow. buy one from walmart test it and return it! thx

I saw this happening to a few posters a while back, pretty sure it always turned out to be a bad video card. You could hook it up to the DVI or HDMI input on your TV to test it too if you have one available.

its possible that the piece that sends the digital signal died - i believe the HDMI/DVI signal sending piece (mosfet?) is different from the analog. Hope you bought a card with a lifetime warranty - you will likely get a 9800 or 240 gts for it.
