problem with no display on boot of new P4B266

I bought a P4B266 with a P4 1.8 400mhz fsb and I am not getting anything on my monitor when I power up. I thought I might fix it by doing the same thing as the guy with the P4B-T but that hasnt worked for me. I only have the video card and the floppy in the case right now. I am very sad that I can't play with my new toy. Help!

The green led does light. I have seen it post once. It seems like my monitor doesnt like it, lol. Anyway, it came up the one time in safe mode into cmos setup and said to check processor speed was correct. Unfortunately my keyboard wasnt plugged in that time and i couldnt save and exit. I reset with the keyboard plugged in and it got to the point where it said no hard drive was found (i don't have them connected right now to keep it simple) and I tried several times to get into cmos setup after that but it was like my keyboard wasnt working. I hit the del key during bootup and it never went to setup. That was on Saturday. I havent been able to duplicate that since. Nothing on my display at all now. It's hard to know when to hit the del key anyway with that logo screen at the beginning.
