After I installed my 6600 gt this popped up on the screen

problem report: The nvida system sentinal is reporting that the nvidia-powered graphics card is not reveiving sufficient power

To protect your hardware from potential damage or causing a potential system lockup, the graphics processor has lowered its performance to a level that allows continued safe operations.

Heres my specs

2500 proc
1024 pc3200
antec true power 430watt

Could it be my cpu?

Did you hook up the extra power connector to the card(if it needs one)? Is it PCI-e or AGP? Which motherboard?

I think thats the problem it has one in the box going to try it and see if it fixes the problem.

Maybe someone can also tell me why my computer needs to boot off my xp cd all the time? It's kind of annoying.

no it is your power supply. does your video card have two molex connectors at the back of the card? if so make sure you have to seperate connectors from the psu directly plugged into the card.

It's working fine now, there was an extra power connector that needed to be hooked up.
