Ihave a Abit kt7-raid mobo and 192mb of pc133 ram. (1x128mb kingmax cl3 pc133 and 1x64 unknown pc133) What is the difference between cl3 and cas3 and all that stuff any way? The problem is that when I benchmark my memory with sandra, I'm getting something like 360 and 350, which is quite slow I think. I saw a memory benchmark in kt7-raid review and they got more than 500 for both. What is the problem? I also updated my bios to UL version.
Is it some settting in my bios?
please help

maybe there is no difference between cl3 and cas 3, maybe cl = cas latency. Run Sandra and find out i guess

i think cl3 means cas 3...in your bios change the cas setting to 2-2-2 and you will see a big jump in the benchmark

Make sure that you have it set to 4 way interleaving in your BIOS memory settings. Also set the timing at Turbo. In SoftMenu make sure that it is set at Host Clock + PCI Clock. You could try it at CAS2, but if it is not stable, just set it at 3. The Turbo timing settings and 4 way interleaving is what will really boost your Sandra benchmarks up. Mine comes in at 531/609.
