Problem with my laptop's wireless...

Before I had reformatted, everything worked well. After formatting with Xp Media Center, however, my Laptop's wifi can't see any local networks. But, the situation is a little bit mixed up.

If i double click the wireless icon in my task bar, it shows an X, but it always says that there's a wireless connection in the floating bubble tip. When i open the properties and try to refresh to see connections, though, there's nothing.

Now, on my Toshibia configfree software, it shows the local network, i just can't connect to them for some reason.

Now, how can i get this to work? My friend's laptop works just fine, so i know it's just me. I was also searching some previous help bulletins and they mentioned that there may be IRQ conflicts. How would i go about moving files around to different open IRQ #s?
