problem with my crappy kodak ez200 webcam

I am using winxp sp2
when i try to acquire images from my kodak ez200 USB webcam
I am always having funny errors
sometimes "another program is using camera "
sometimes "General failure in response to = MSG_ENABLEDS. Low Memory Condition encountered, free up some memory and try again"
sometimes success, but just a while, the screen will freeze
pls advice on how to fix this problem

hav tried google and kodak official site's help documentation
still unable to solve this problem
