Problem with my BXMaster.......

Hello, I recently OC'd my P3 800 Slot 1 to 1066, Everything runs fine at 1.85v, except when I try to reboot, the system powers down. I am running an Enlight 400 watt atx, and a Clap DDR, system voltages seem to be right in spec, If I push the Power Button to off status, then back on/ boots right up.... Any Ideas?? I had the same prob with different components including a diff PS while doing a High OC with the Abit BE6-2 a while back, Nothing seemed to help then either... Think it could be the Bios?? I am running the Latest Rev. of bios which is 5.5... Any input is highly appreciated 🙂

OK, Lets try this at a different angle.....What boards are you guys running on, this means those of you well over a gig with the P3 on a BX ???

Had a bx master and p3 850 running at 1070 with a watercooler. Without the cooler it would only run 1030. It sounds like you have reached the limitations of the cpu. the p3 850 would post at a higher mhz but only occasionally.

Sounds like a heat problem.

SP: Thats not the case tho, I can run at 1080 with the cpu, but I get the same thing, system won't reboot// it acts like it's got a shorted out cpu, as in loses vid sync, but the case lights stay on... I am water cooling, with an 80 watt pelt and 20f water.... I'm typing at 1066 right now, and get NO errors whatsoever...... strange thing is that at 1008 the reboot prob goes away... sigh, I think it's the board myself.

I had a BX Master that would not seem to run right at 133mhz on up. I think it is a problem with that board.
