Problem with MS's RAW Image Viewer for XP.

I installed this RAW viewer June 15th but I now regret it. I just used my FAX software that comes with Windows XP and RAW viewer created problems.
I first scanned my document and inserted it into a Word doc. I used Word's "Send To" selection and all went as well as usual except when I went to View the fax before sending it. The RAW viewer opened and displayed the wrong picture. Also, when I opened the Fax Console to "Sent Items" I selected the fax I just sent and clicked on the View tool bar icon. The first displayed doc was correct but the "next image" icon at the bottom of the RAW Image Viewer displayed the Viewer's viewing history, not the other fax pages.
I guess the associated page types went too far.
 
I just spoke to the department I sent my fax to and it appears that although the correct document was sent, it came in a compressed or "letter-box" like shape unlike the "letter" or 8.5" x 11" shape of the original. If anyone else can test this out I'd like to know if it's a bug MS needs to be notified of.
