hi.. recently got a new sound card --->>> Sound Blaster X-Fi fAtality Champion Series

when i connect my mike and record my own sound..(singing) the sound that i play from windows media player also records perfectly...i dont want that to happen...i just want my own voice...thats realy close to the mike..to record

is that possible with this desktop mic?

Make sure you dont have "What you hear" set as the default input device instead of the Line In device.

If thats not the problem, then just put on headphones to hear the music so the mic wont pick it up.
