Problem with making an icon appear in Windows XP.

Lets say I have a folder called App. Inside App is a folder called Setup, which contains Setup.exe and App.ico. In the folder App, I have a shortcut to Setup.exe. I want the icon that shows up for the shortcut to be App.ico. Is there anyway to be able to point to that icon so that regardless of what directory the folder App is in, it will still know where to find that icon? In other words, can I give a relative location for the icon, rather than an absolute location (.\Setup\App.ico instead of C:\whatever\App\Setup\App.ico)? The reason I ask is because I want to burn the directory App to a CD, but I am having trouble making the icon show up on the CD.
