Problem with KT7 and installing OS

I am having TONS of problems installing any kind of OS with my KT7/RAID board. It gets to the part in the installation under WIN95/WIN98SE (tried both) where it says copying files necessary to continue install, and then it either locks up or errors out. WIN2K gets to a certain point and then says that the motherboard is not fully ACPI (sp?) compliant and fails to install. I tried just upgrading and it errors out on boot for WIN2k saying that there is an invalid boot device.

I am at a total loss, I cannot even install the OS to troubleshoot or install the hd controller drivers etc. I don't see where anybody else has had this problem. I use the same harddrive on my BX board and have no problem installing win98se. I have a duron 700, pc100 ram, a 300W power supply, and i've tried 2 different video cards (TNT2 Ultra AGP and Matrox Millenium PCI)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try to clear your CMOS, as in shorting the reset jumper on the board. I did
tech support for HP Vectra's and Kayak's, and this was a big fixer for these
types of odd problems.

I'd also make sure Plug and Play OS is on. Also, try reseting the ESCD stuff
(under PCI/PNP) and making sure everything else PNP/PCI related is a-ok.

Are you hitting F6 when Win2K asks, to add the HPT370 RAID driver?
Also, Try hitting F7 when it says to hit F6, then hit F5 to select a
different type of computer type. Try Standard PC.

What firmware revision you running, out of curiosity?

I flashed to this bios. I will try reseting the CMOS. I have messed around with different
BIOS settings but I will relook at that. I did not try installing the RAID controller during
the install for WIN2K. I have really been concentrating on trying to get WIN98SE installed. I
even try intstalling it on my BXBoard and then booting with the KT7, but i am not sure it is
uninstalling the INTEL hd controller.

Thanks for the advice I will try it out and see what I come up with.
