problem with keyboard and USB hub

I just got a Belkin 7-port USB 2.0 hub the other day. It's been working fine other than it runs a bit hot on the right side. Anyway, I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard that I want to use with it, but I've found that if I use the keyboard on the hub, I have to type slower because the letters will come out all weird if I type fast. I'm an extremely fast typer and this is a problem. I have it connected directly to my laptop right now, but I got the hub so that I could connect everything at once. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Wireless always runs into the problem of lag. And to make matters worse, The wirless now is running through a hub instead of straight to the mobo. adding a new step into the process is likely to be the culprit. I don't know about everyone else, but Belkin makes products cheap. Cheap products are usually cheap for a reason.

yeah, it's definately a hub problem. It works flawlessly when connected directly. I love my MS keyboard (never thought I'd say I love MS anything lol). Battery life is over 6 months and it works great. Oh well, direct it is. The laptop has 4 usb ports so I can clear one up easily.
