Problem with Kazaa: 100% CPU usage cycles

Whenever I have kazaa running it'll have these cycles of using normal CPU usage and then using 100% for anywhere from 5-20 seconds and then going back to normal. The cycles occur like once ever 1-2 minutes. Its kinda annying when I'm doing something else that wants to use CPU and it'll slow it down. Know why this is happening or what I can do to stop it?

kazaalite has "function as a supernode" defaultly off.

Did you run adaware? Maybe you are participating in some distributed computing program for spyware companies 🙂

I had heard that if you actually read the EULA for kazaa, it states in there that you are allowing them to use your CPU cycles for some huge distributed computing thingy... i never took the time to actually read it, nor do i really care, but this may be why it's at 100% sometimes

i have the same exact problem....nearly haults my computer as it takes up 100% processor usage. I thought it was a fluke at first, but now it does it all the time. I'm not terribly worried as this is my personal machine and not a computer at work, but it's still really annoying.
