Problem with Installing Adobe Illustrator 10.

I just bought Adobe Illustrator 10, and I tried to install it, so I continued with the installation, when it asked me for the serial number i entered it, however it give me an error message saying that I had the wrong serial number, so I entered it again twice as more careful, and it gave me the error message again. I was wondering how to fix this problem. Thanks.
