I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem, it may be simple but it is really getting annoying.

When i close the lid on my 600m ... the resolution seems like it jumps to 640x480 while the lid is close, in another words, when i open the lid back up, it jumps back to 1400x1050, making my icons all go to the 640x480 setting... can someone help me?

when i first got this dell, it had the problem.
then i reformat and installed xp pro and install the driver from the cd, still had the problem
i went to dell site and download the lastest ati 9000 mobility driver, still have the problem...
its annoying 🙁

If that doesnt work, see if there is a bios update, I remember this being common in one bios revision for the 600m.

yea, the omegadriver doesn't work... well... actually... after i close my lid now... the screen doesn't shut off 🙁 unless if there is a setting...

actually, i can't find the bios update for this machine on dell support... i am downloading the original driver again and try to mess around w/ some settings ....

I don't have that problem. I'm using the omega 2.4.78 drivers (haven't updated in a while). I also flashed my bios to version A08 a while ago. I don't know if this had anything to do with it or not though.

EDIT: I have the same 32MB video card you do.
