Problem with Google Sites

Trying to connect to a google site like google images or gmail or google news or even youtube will often be extremely slow to respond or just time out completely. No other sites have this issue unless they use something google related like ajax.googleapis.com. I've tried firefox (which seems to do a little better than chrome) but my main browser is chromium and the other desktop in my home is using chrome stable and they are all having trouble with google sites.

I've tried pinging the sites using cmd.exe and it never results in dropped packets. I've disabled and renabled the firewall in windows. Tried using ccleaner to basically clean out everything and even tried using it to clear registry issues. I really have no idea whats happening. Nothing has changed in the past 24 hours so I have no idea what is happening.

Any ideas?

Have you tried rebooting your router?

What AV are you running? Any other security programs?

What version of Windows?

So the situation has been improving. Things are still kind of hit or miss. I tried using my computer plugged right into the modem instead of the router and things were still happening.

At this point I just assume its my ISP and am playing the wait and see game. If things don't improve I may have to make the dreaded phone call to support.
