i have a gainward ultra 750xp ti4600 golden sample card that i just bought. the problem is, when i install the card with the drivers and software (expertool) that came with the card, it will not run 3D mark 2001, i get a message saying my card is not directx 8.1 compatible. in expertool it shows that directx is not installed and that i have windows xp home. but if i got to "information" it shows directx 8.1 and windows xp pro (which is correct)???? i have tried uninstalling the drivers and installing the new ones from invidias site and still have the problem........ the only way i got the card to run 3D mark 2001 was to install it with the drivers from my old Elsa Gladiac 920 card, it installed as a Gladiac 925 and reported the correct amount of memory (128mb)??? i'm sorry if this is kind of confusing, i know it is to me!!!.... can i have some problem with something left on my system from my elsa card? anyone else have this problem or a solution?? thank you for any help, this is driving me nuts...

Have you tried the newest drivers from www.nvidia.com, or installing DirectX with the ti4600 drivers already on?

i had the newest drivers (the ones just released a few days ago) installed and working with my elsa card before i installed the gainward card. the only way i can get 3Dmark to run and is to use the old origianl drivers from my elsa cd. (not sure of the version of these drivers, they have to be 2-3 years old). i'm gonna try using "drivers clean" today and reinstall the newest nvidia drivers by themselves and see what happens......... and yes, i have tried installing directx 8.1 after everything else, i know 8.1 is installed on my computer, it just doesn't show up in "expertool" and the card won't run 3Dmark???????
