I don't see what you guys love about FireFox?

I agree to some extent. It has some nice features, but so many websites do not work. Also, I do not like how the favorites/bookmark menu disappears everytime you make changes to it.

I agree too, I just couldn't get used to it. I am IN NO WAY saying IE is superior. Just thats it is more compatible with websites and the bookmarks menu is displayed. Maybe I'll like 2.0 :p

I'm already back to IE, second time I switched back.

ESPN.com looks fine to me. Some of the text doesn't line up perfectly, but it's not broken in any way.

but so many websites do not work

Name a few, I've been using Mozilla-based browsers for at least 2 years and the worst I've seen is something like ESPN where the text is a little funky.

Newegg, ESPN, and Gmail all work fine for me. Have you done a clean install of 1.0?

Well I uninstalled it before about a month ago, and now I just tried it again but the same issues. I did a complete uninstall last time, maybe some files were left behind?

When you uninstall, you have to remove your profile too. Under WinXP, it's stored in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla

Remember to backup your bookmarks.html file though.

Miscommunication. I know that much. Do I come off as that slow? LOL

I've worked tech support, what people seem to know is usually a lot less than they really do and you did say "that exact path".

Also I believe the Application Data directory is hidden, but I can't remember for sure and I have no Windows boxes around to check on.

I believe you are correct, because nothing like that is showing up. Let me see what my Folder Options say.

Wouldn't you know. You were right. Found the directory and deleted it.

But I am still confused as to how my profile caused this big glitch problem?

I don't know why it happens, but it was always recommended to delete your profile when you upgraded. I believe that's not the case anymore with 1.0, but who knows if it'll stick. I've never had to kill my Galeon profile, so for all I know it could be a Windows thing.

Very odd, I haven't experienced anything like what you're describing, and I've been a FF convert since about April of this year or so. If it were common I don't think the browser would be as popular as it is. Here's a screenie of espn's site, for instance. Note that the little "Adblock" tabs are due to the optional Adblock extension, not how the browser renders the page.

Gmail is screwed up for me as well...will end up on a blank screen after entering the username/password. Problem is happening on both of my computers so there's something up on their end. Even IE isn't entirely working there either (have a message in my "spam" folder but the system won't let me in to see it)
