Here are the specs:
AMD 3800 X2
Bio Star T-Force 6100 AM(2?) mobo
1GB RAM
The rest... I'm not sure.
Anyway the problem is fairly generic I'm sure. I have two SATA ports, one of which is unusable after I broke the plastic connector off. I have the hard drive plugged up to one of the SATA slots.
Anyway, the computer booted up fine (albeit no Windows installed yet) until I connected an OLD IDE DVD drive up. Plugged a molex to it and connected via IDE and bam... no picture when booting up. It's got me beat. I can't figure out why it would just stop showing video. There are no beeps emitting from the mobo or anything, just no video. The only reason I didn't install Windows with a removable USB prior to trying the old DVD drive is that the computer just stuck with the blinking "_" symbol but never asked me to press any key to boot or even went off of that screen. Not sure why that happened but anyway -
I removed the DVD drive from system and I still can't get any picture.
Is there any button combinations I can try while booting up or do you guys have any other ideas? Thanks.
