Problem with Excel regarding file SKU011.cab

My excel 2003 has worked perfectly fine until today. Now when I try to run it it goes through an install process and apparently cant find file SKU011.CAB . I located the file when it asked me to browse for it but it was in XML form, that didn?t work. I tried changing it to .CAB, that also didn?t work. If anyone has any information to safe me from reinstalling all of excel it would be greatly appreciated.

Try throwing the Excel or Office CD into the drive and aim your system at it for the .CAB it wants. Also, if you happen to use McAfee antivirus software, run an update to make sure it's not using the faulty 4715 DAT files, which resulted in deletion of Excel.exe.

I forgot to mention as well that i lost the cd so that is not an option

Call Microsoft and order a replacement CD, it's probably $20 or so.
