Problem with DVD-rom drive not opening

ok the drive makes a clicking noise when you push the button to open it but if you tap it on its side while its trying to open it opens right away and closes fine. Cds and dvds read and play fine in the drive. Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix it? Thx

PS BTW this drive is a desktop Toshiba SD-M1212

Do the tracks of these drives require lubrication?

How long have you had it, or is it new?

nah it kinda old a few years at least but all was working fine with it and as I said it reads fine just the tray gets stuck and if you tap the side of the drive it opens and then closes fine but then gets stuck again.

There's probably something physically broken with the mechanical parts within the drive.
