Ok i was wondering how accurate the pencil trick was... Because ive tried unlocking my processor 5 times now and i still cant seem to get it done! Why!!! ?
With the same pencil i easily joined the L7 bridges... (Running at 1.85 volts) I cant seem to be able to change the multiplier... Every time I reboot after changing the settings in my bios--- It keeps telling me that my processor is at 850!!! Annoying ! :( Is my processor unlockable??? That Cant be right?

Im running this on an iwill kk266 mobo...with a cooler master that keeps it cool around 36-37 degrees. Also---- With a creative geforce 2 mx that overclocks real well ;). But I want to overclock my processor 2! And taking my hs/fan on and off is scaring the crap out of me!

Please help me out guys! :)
Thx!!!

well, did you press really hard? the lines have to be virtually black, have you tried conductive ink?

EDIT: Hell i just realised that u said L7 bridges, you need to do the L1 bridges
not L7

You could try another pencil. I used 3B from my pencil shading kit I have , it seems to work better than the HB pencil in the same kit. I also bought the defogger repair kit which can be had at Auto Zone for ~$8. I found it extremely difficult to apply though ( you need a needle )

My pencil overclock has lasted ~6 months.

I used this pencil for unlocking mine. The price is good and it's basically metallic ink. What I like about it is the small tip.

I have tried 2 different pencils... Hmm maybe i should try that mettalic pen..
Also, I know its the L1 bridges we have to connect to change the multiplier...
I have done it b4 on a 600 duron, but it actually worked that time...
Heck Im gonna try another pencil--- a better quality one this time :D Well see if it works--- Pretty please, work :D
