I recently added a KDS Avitron AV-7TF to my system for dual monitor purposes. It setup fine and works perfectly under Win 98se. However, under Win 2k (I'm dual-booting), the correct wallpaper shows up, buth the screen is garbled, and the pixels blink and change color.
I'm using the ATI Xpert 98 PCI vid card for the KDS and a NVIDIA GeForce 256 AGP for my main monitor.
Win 2k recognized it fine, and installed the correct driver for it. The device manager shows that it is working fine and has no conflicts. I have tried every setting on the Xpert 98.
(every resolution, every refresh rate, 16-32 color)

I checked ATI's website for an updated driver, but it says that the driver is the one on the Win 2k cd. Which is what I have installed.

I cannot figure out why it isn't working properly, when it works fine it Win 98se.

Has anybody had this problem??????

If you need my system specs, here are my main specs:

Pentium 3 @866
128mb
21" Dell FD Trinitron (main monitor)
17" KDS FD Trinitron (second monitor)
Nividia Geforce 256 32mb (main vid card)
ATI- Xpert 98 8mb (second vid card)
40 gig Maxtor Diamond Plus with ATA-66
Soundblaster Live!
DVD Rom
Sony CD-RW
3Com NIC

The IRQ's are fine, no problems with any of the hardware. Like I said, works fine in Win 98se.

Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!

I like Win 2k a helluva lot better than 98.

Thanks

This is quite odd. Though I use a Matrox G400 dualhead card, I've read that sometimes having the pci slot right below the agp slot helps. I believe this is because most people aren't aware of the conflict and this is an easy remedy. But a conflict of IRQ isn't the problem as you indicated. Have you tried moving the ATI video card to another pci slot?

Best thing I can do if offer you a bump :). Hopefully some hardware guru can help.
