Problem with download & install of Sun JAVA

I got a prompt yesterday, saying that a new version of Sun Java was available for download and asking if I wanted to install it.

It appeared that the download started but it was as if it never completed because the install process never attempted to start.

I have since tried to manually download and install the latest version directly from the Sun JAVA website and every time I start the installation process I get an error regarding a certain file being corrupt BUT I don't even see that file at the location that it refers to.

Anyone else having these problems ?

Any suggestions on how to fix this ?

Thanks.

Go to task manager and kill the jqs.exe (java quick start) process. You should be able to install the new version now. :)
