Which ISP do you use? Did it connected fine on the first connection, then it keeps giving you the wrong password errors on subsequent connection attempts even when there are numerous (************) present in the password box and the Remember Password is checked? If you retype the (*************) with your password it connects fine but don't want to do that right? Am I warm?
I know (older) Prodigy's software used to have such problem, which they initially said never existed, then came out with a patch later on. I know their newer software doesn't have that problem anymore. So you might want to try contacting your ISP to see if it's a known problem or if they have updated software. Don't be supprised to hear that the version of Windows you're using isn't supported or has limited support or that they tell you that there is no problem so it might be you or your system (setup = user) error.
