problem with DEP & printing off a browser

Windows XP, it prints fine if it's from Word or something, but when I try to print from IE, Firefox or Chrome the browser crashes and I'll get a DEP pop up. It does this every single time I try to print from the internet. I looked at the settings and Chrome was checked for programs to allow, everything in the list is checked in fact. I'm thinking it was maybe some malware, I ran spybot, superantispyware & malwarebytes. They found some stuff, but nothing unusual. I don't want to totally disable DEP but I'm out of ideas what to do to fix this.

hummm, so nobody has even an idea here? 🙁 I'm still trying to help him. He can't format and reinstall Windows because the system has the stores check cashing system on it. And whoever put it on there for him is long gone so he wouldn't be able to reinstall it.

Maybe someone can help me here, I totally disabled DEP today and low and behold it now prints from IE/FF/Chrome. I don't want to leave DEP disabled though. Last week I had added FF/Chrome & print.exe to the exclusion list and it didn't help. I'm not sure what different is being triggered when I print online, but it's got to be something because it prints just fine locally when DEP is enabled. I know leaving DEP off isn't a good idea, but it's the only thing that works until I figure out what needs to be added to the exclusion list.

Any ideas?

Try using opera. Try firefox 3.6.

Post the error message you get. Post the message when it crashes in chrome, and when it crashes in iexplore.

I can do that later, IE usually just closes the tab and re-opens with no message at all. A few times a DEP warning window popped up, but no error code or anything. FF's the only 1 that gives a message I will post it later. Haven't tried Opera and not sure which version of FF, both things I'll definitely try today though, thanks for the ideas.

Look in the event log for the name of the program that caused the error.

Once you have the name of the program, add that as an exception.
