Problem with Dell minitor

The Dell 1704FP LCD just arrived. Surprisingly I found the DVI connector of the LCD monitor is not standard, not compatible with the ordinary DVI socket coming with my GeForce Video card. Is there any body who ever met this problem? Do I need to buy additional DVI adapter?
