Problem with CS:S stress test

Last time I did the test I got a average of 158fps...now I reformated my computer(not related to the problem)...but when I re-installed CS:S and ran the test my average fps was 92.I believe that all the settings were the same when I ran both tests and I run everything at stock speeds.

Specs:
Athlon 3700+ San Diego@2.2(stock)
1GB PC3200
Leadtek 6600GT PCI-E
Maxtor 80GB
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! 7.1 24bit

Any tweaks or anything that could help?

What I typed into the console:
fps_max 100
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 30

Your AA (Anti-Aliasing) setting is probably different, sometimes you forget about it. Also, even though I highly doubt it could make much of a difference, get the drivers you had before.

Anyways, 92 FPS isn't so bad. The human eye can't notice anything more than 60 FPS.

Please do a search. This is actually not true. If you search you will find threads about this topic all over the place. Some of them even have a link to a program where you can view 60 fps on one side of your screen and 100 on the other. You can definately see a difference - especially since there is no true motion blur from your computer.

If youre setting the fps max to 100. How can you get an average over 100?
