Problem with creating VCD's with NERO

I'm running Nero 5.5.9.6 and I want to create a VCD but everytime I do so, my DVD player doesn't recognise the CD. It just says "No CD." All I want to do is create a Photo Album on CD that can be viewed on a TV with a DVD payer that plays VCD's as my DVD player does.

Someone give me a pointer would you, tried it 3 times now and each time the DVD player reports that there is no CD in the drive.

Cheers,

😉

hhhmm a weird thing but here goes. I had a similar problem but when you put vcd's dvd's they automatically start to play but when making a photo cd you have to press play to manually start it. I know it's dumb but give it a try and see if it's that.

Thanx again. Right I tried a CDRW disc and guess what? It worked. Thanks for the input ppl. Gotta love the ppl on this forum and the experience that is in abundance.

Cheers again.

Why does a CD-RW work better?

The reflective properties of a CD-RW mimic a DVD more closely than a standard CD-R would. So they usually play in finicky DVD players better.
